2008 September 27 - Third Expedition

This trip was especially meaningful to me. Accompanying us to the crash site was the niece of First Officer William Tumlinson and the son of the Arkansas NG Huey pilot who was killed when the helicopter crashed enroute to the search area.

Section of forward fuselage, right side. The right side of the piece is the upper section of the passenger boarding door. The hinges are at center.
Portion of the center wing section was mixed in with wreckage from the forward part of the aircraft.

After a long day on the mountain, a fantastic meal was called for! This was at the Chopping Block Steakhouse. Good food!
