Iâm looking for some research assistance either linking or not
linking exposure of J-4 Jet Fuel or other toxins in burning plains to
lung cancer. And any information on the toxic effect of J-4 jet fuel
inhalation would be helpful.
My brother James Gorman was one of 15 survivors of Lockeed 188c Electra Flight 280 D that crashed 4/22/1966. In Admore, Ok. During the crash and for two hours thereafter he remained at the site until rescuers arrived. James inhaled enough J-4 Jet fuel to burn his lounges and was 2nd & 3rd degree burned over 28% of his body including face and scalp.
There is no cancer in our family. None of Jamesâ direct blood descendents, siblings, uncles, aunts or cousins ever had any form of cancer.
Jim died of lung cancer in December 2002. I am attempting to get his
wife a service connected widows pension.
The VA denied Jamesâ wifeâs service connected widowâs
claim. They wrote that James did not ingest enough fuel to cause lung
cancer. We are appealing the decision
Jimâs VA doctors considered the ingestion of J-4 as a possible cause and a probable contributing factor. However the VA did not agree and I cannot find the documentation I need.
All I need is for someone to give me the wed address of a sight that has toxic warnings and test studies.
Hope you can help
