Looking for information about a Marine Corp trainer (possibly an
SNJ) accident that happened some where over California in the fall of
'43. From what I have been told, the aircraft became lost in bad
weather and ran low on fuel forcing both occupants to bail. The
pilot,Milton Mitchell, was killed when his chute failed to open. The
second man survived.
