Hi Mark, This accident was covered pretty thoroughly in the Longview Daily News starting on August 1st, '47. You might try looking through the news archives at the newspaper office or at the Longview Library. There is an old rumor that the aircraft was transporting some kind of residue that came from a UFO incident on Puget Sound. This should be a great research project. Good Luck, Cye
