During a motorcycle trip to algerian Sahara we found the (poor) remains of a crashed historic plane near Bordj el Haues.
The plane was build of wood, covered with metal, lots of cables lying around (perhaps a biplane?), gear with spoke-wheel (dia. about 16" to 19"),
w-shaped engine, capacity app. 10 to 15 liters, 12 cylinders in 3 cylinderbanks, liquid-cooled, cylinder and cylinderhead in one part, 4-valves, valve-springs not covered, cam-driven ohc, engine weight: more than 100 kg.
Estimated buildung year: WW1 to late twentys.

Who has information to this kind of engine (manufacturer)?

Thanks in advance
